Preeti Adhikary
Preeti Adhikary is the the Founder of The Great Nepali Diaspora, a non-profit community of exceptional global Nepali talent that aims to nurture connection, collaboration, and camaraderie. She is also building a venture capital fund to support underrepresented founders.
Preeti holds a Master of Advanced Management from the Yale School of Management. With over 17 years of diverse experience in tech startups, banking, and nonprofits, Preeti is passionate about creating and supporting community-driven ventures that have a positive social and economic impact.
Rupeshwor Gaur Das
Rupeshwor Gaur Das, also known as Rupesh Joshi, is a renowned spiritual teacher with a unique ability to make ancient wisdom resonate in our modern world. For decades, he has been transforming lives by helping people find inner peace and achieve extraordinary success. His teachings have inspired countless individuals, from celebrities to business leaders, through TV shows, podcasts, and publications.
Beyond his role as a spiritual leader, Rupeshwor Gaur Das is celebrated for his contributions to spirituality, community service, and personal growth. As the Secretary of ISKCON Nepal and the Regional Secretary of ISKCON Thailand, his influence is far-reaching and profound. Now, he brings his transformative insights to TEDxMaitighar, continuing to inspire and uplift those seeking meaningful change.
Natalia Makarenko
Natalia Makarenko is a seasoned business leader heading marketing strategy and operations in APAC for inDrive. With over 14 years of global experience in business, marketing, and customer experience, she drives business growth and builds inDrive’s reputation as a trusted brand in local markets.
Previously, Natalia led strategy consultations for Deloitte CIS and Jakala, aiding clients in financial services, FMCG, and retail with digital business transformation. She also contributed to the digitalization of marketing at Bayer CIS. Natalia holds a Master’s degree in Marketing Management from the Higher School of Economics and a Bachelor's in International Relations, with additional education in digital leadership.
Srichchha Pradhan
Srichchha Pradhan, Miss Nepal 2023, is an environmental activist and entrepreneur dedicated to sustainable practices and female empowerment. With a degree in environmental science, she founded "Diego Pranali," a community supporting local entrepreneurs and promoting environmental conservation. Her advocacy extends to women's entrepreneurship, child education, and sustainable development, making her an inspiring figure for young Nepalis.
In addition to her activism, Pradhan is a talented travel writer and songwriter, showcasing her skills during the Miss Nepal pageant. Her holistic approach to beauty pageants emphasizes combining physical appearance with knowledge, spirituality, and compassion, underscoring her commitment to meaningful social impact and making her a role model for many
Giri Devanur
Giri Devanur is the CEO of reAlpha, transforming the $1.2 trillion short-term rental market. Born in Chikmagalur, India, Giri's impressive journey includes studies at Columbia University and the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, where he recently completed an Executive program in neuroscience and marketing.
A successful entrepreneur, Giri founded Ivega Corporation and WinHire Inc., showcasing relentless innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. Featured in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Bloomberg, and having led an IPO on Nasdaq, Giri brings a wealth of knowledge on tech, innovation, and the power of curiosity.
Skanda Gautam
Skanda Gautam is an acclaimed photographer whose passion for the craft was ignited by a diploma in Advertising & Graphic Design. Initially focusing on events and fashion shoots, he found his true calling in photojournalism during an internship at a local newspaper. Now, Skanda captures the vibrant culture and daily life of Kathmandu, earning international recognition when Cristiano Ronaldo shared his earthquake coverage. His compelling photographs have been featured by Adobe and BBC Nepal, reflecting the heartbeat of Kathmandu in every shot.
Sulav Raj Bhatta
Sulav Raj Bhatta is a Social Impact Officer at eSewa, where he plays a pivotal role in driving positive social change and spearheading the digitization of Nepal's economy through digital financial inclusion. His career highlights include significant roles at the Fulbright Commission (U.S. Educational Foundation in Nepal) and the U.S. Embassy Kathmandu. As an EducationUSA Adviser at the Fulbright Commission for over seven years, Sulav guided thousands of Nepali students in pursuing higher education in the U.S. Additionally, during his seven-year tenure as an American Spaces Specialist at the U.S. Embassy, he actively engaged with the public and led youth outreach programs.
Sulav holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA, and an MBA from Apex College, Nepal. Beyond his professional commitments, he cherishes spending time with his adorable kids.
Ram Kumari Jhakri
Hon. Ram Kumari Jhakri is a pioneering figure in Nepalese politics and an advocate for women's rights. She made history as the first woman to be elected president of a major party affiliate student union and was a central figure in the 2006 democracy movement in Nepal. Her leadership extends to her roles as a former member of the House of Representatives and the former Minister of Urban Development.
Ram Kumari Jhakri has continuously broken barriers, campaigning for women's reservation in civil service and challenging the legacy of UML. Her journey is one of resilience, leadership, and a vision for a more equitable society. Her story inspires countless Nepalese women, showcasing the power of determination and change.
