From Friendship to Craftsmanship: The Journey of Kayo Creative Studio

Kayo Studio

Two childhood friends, Prasanna Kumar Shakya and Sajan Govinda Joshi, turned their shared dream into reality by founding Kayo Creative Studio on May 10, 2017. Combining Prasanna’s background in handicrafts and Joshi’s management studies, they started by creating customized gifts for family and friends, receiving enthusiastic feedback that encouraged them to expand their venture. Their mission was to revive interest in traditional Nepali handicrafts by turning them into personalized, trendy gifts.

Kayo Creative Studio has since grown into a promising startup, offering a range of handmade items such as key rings, wooden bow ties, and customized photo frames, with varying price range. The company focuses on quality and innovation, using materials like brass, silver, wood, and paper, and employs local artisans whose work is credited in the final products. With a strong team and a growing clientele, Kayo aims to elevate Nepali handicrafts to a luxury brand status, promoting the rich cultural heritage while catering to modern tastes.
